Some months ago I posted a problem where one machine I have was hanging after sitting idle for several days. I recently upgraded that machine from Xubuntu 18 to 20. In the process I removed the nVidia card that was in it. The only reason I had the nVidia card was from many years back when I was running MythTV, and the MythTV folks recommended nVidia. I haven't run MythTV since sometime in 2016. I decided to pull the nVidia card and just use the onboard video. The machine is Lenovo ThinkCentre-M58p. Since that upgrade on December 1, 2020, I've had the machine running 24/7, and use it at least twice a week connected to the living room TV. It hasn't hung in all that time.

So, my conclusion is that the nVidia card and the onboard video had a minor disagreement resulting in a stalemate. I took the nVidia card out of another of my machines, ENU-1, that I've upgraded to Xubuntu 20. It's been running since December 22, 2020 with no problems. I have one more nVidia card in this machine, ENU-2, and I'll pull it when I upgrade it, probably in a few months, after I get ENU-1 stable and am using it as my main desktop machine.
