I finally got around to upgrading my website to HTTPS. My hosting service is StableHost. They have a section called Lets Encrypt SSL on cPanel to automate the process. It's a simple, straightforward tool. You select the domain you want to use the click +issue. It takes you to another page that tells you:

--------------------------------------
The SSL certificate is now installed onto the domain (domain) using the IP address (an address). The existing virtual host was updated with the new certificate.
--------------------------------------

However, if you go to the website, the padlock is still unlocked. After several back and forth emails with StableHost support, the padlock is now locked.

My concern is that my questions about what wasn't working were never answered. First they told me it was fine. That's when I told them the padlock was unlocked. Then they told me they fixed it for me, and indeed, the padlock is now locked. While I finally got where I was going, it was not an ideal solution. Ideally I would have heard of some step I omitted, or that there is a known problem they'll be working on, or some other bit of knowledge with some real information in it.

Anyone else on StableHost? Do you have similar problems? The site seems otherwise stable, and it's a big deal to change. But with the experience of SpiritOne a few years ago, I want to be ahead of the game if there's some real concern.
