Not postmarketOS, but a different way to make grouper usable: " https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/9ppczt/lineageos_made_my_nexus_7_2012_usable/". Some folks are using unofficial LineageOS 14 (Android 7) , others are using unofficial LineageOS 15 (Android 8). And it sounds like it works quite well, surprisingly. I might try it myself.
