I can certainly x-host (is that what it's called these days: ssh -X sets it up) from the Zero IFF I install all the xorg overhead. And I remember using xhost, setting DISPLAY probably, to put up stuff on somebody else's monitor. But it's a pretty gutless little thing (1 core, 256M of RAM) to be running xorg at all. All I want from it is to run curses apps in a console. But on a bigger screen than my phone is displaying JuiceSSH on. Once I'm ssh'd in, if I do 'echo foo > /dev/tty1' I see 'foo' appear on the monitor. More googling finds me people writing scripts to tee stuff to /dev/tty1 in a similar fashion. But it seems I ought to be able to take over the thing so my interactions are more legit, or at least require less mediation once the deed is done. Or not?
