I'm not sure why you are asking on PLUG.

Basically {no pun intended} because this group tends to answer the question actually asked. On debian-user I had asked which of the BASICs in the repository was closest to Dartmouth BASIC I was told not to even consider using any Basic.

I googled, like a person would.

https://www.dartmouth.edu/basicfifty/basic.html

When I asked for context, it was really to try to pin down what you
were looking for. Dartmouth Basic came in a bunch of versions,
including a commercialization called TrueBasic
http://www.truebasic.com/.

Is there some version in particular you are looking for? It is quite
possible there is an old big-iron simulator you could run some
original version on, complete with DTSS. ... and 30 seconds more
looking: http://www.dtss.org/dtss/

I need approximation of "Dartmouth BASIC".

More context please.

'Cause it is what I want. <GRIN>
Actually it's the only BASIC I ever used and it is a good match for a
peculiar project.

Please don't reply unless CORC, CUPL, or 026 in your experience.

Too late!

That was only there to discourage youngsters trying to sell me on the
latest interpreter du jour :}
