As I have said in the initial post - I could print + scan + OCR - (that is minus) google. In fact that is exactly what I have done to convert nice, but garbled 420kB contract into slightly pixelated (600 dpi), but searchable 117MB PDF. I have since discovered that I have 20+ such PDFs. Given the fact that they are all contracts and tax documents - it is only matter of time, until I need those searchable/copy/paste-able in a hurry too. It takes some time and mouse action to do all that.
