Robert, I found perl-Gtk3 on SBo (SlackBuilds.org) and installed it and its 6 dependencies. Now CGStar builds but displays a long list of optional dependencies it cannot find; some actually are installed. I'll run the application without the ones not installed here and see if I need them.
