If you look at the headers, the post in question was sent by Mr. TJ to [EMAIL PROTECTED], CC [EMAIL PROTECTED] That's what happens when you send two copies of something to two functionally identical addresses.
(I'm not suggesting TJ intended to do it - it was probably a function of his email client's group reply function. In particular, most clients will end up doing this when the original post was sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (why is an excercise for the student)) I don't have to mention that nuking the Reply-To would fix this problem. ;-) On Fri, 4 Mar 2005 at 14:17 -0700, Corey Edwards wrote: > Plug mail admins it looks like something is causing multiple deliveries. > Somebody want to take a stab at fixing it? > > Received: > from [127.0.0.1] (localhost > [127.0.0.1]) by orodruin.plug.org > (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2C8AF1C3F2; > Fri, 4 Mar 2005 14:01:38 -0700 > (MST) > Received: > from wproxy.gmail.com > (wproxy.gmail.com [64.233.184.207]) > by orodruin.plug.org (Postfix) with > ESMTP id DB0091C3D7 for > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Fri, 4 Mar > 2005 14:01:33 -0700 (MST) > > > Received: > from [127.0.0.1] (localhost > [127.0.0.1]) by orodruin.plug.org > (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7F4691C3EB; > Fri, 4 Mar 2005 14:01:35 -0700 > (MST) > Received: > from wproxy.gmail.com > (wproxy.gmail.com [64.233.184.206]) > by orodruin.plug.org (Postfix) with > ESMTP id 2F2AC1C3D7 for > <[email protected]>; Fri, 4 Mar 2005 > 14:01:32 -0700 (MST) > > See how both messages were received from gmail with message id > "2F2AC1C3D7"?
