Assuming you are using Debian, you'll probably want to take a look at
the following packages:

kernel-package (automates kernel and module building and integration)
acx100-source (package to build the wireless driver you need)

Note that the acx100-source package is only available in the contrib
section of the archive.  Also, chances are you can use a stock debian
kernel and build your driver against the provided headers.
