As a filesystem developer who spends more time than he would care to
admit in the depths of the VFS and MM kernel subsystems, I find this
entire experiment pretty amusing. ;-)
Just in case you have not picked up on it, this whole ``performance
test'' should strictly be considered for entertainment purposes
only. There are *far* too many variables at play here and the test is
far too narrow to have any practical meaning whatsoever.
That said, keep them numbers comin'. ;-)
