You didn't mention the distro but with yum I'm going guess Fedora.
Didn't YUM come from Yellow dog Update Manager? Anyway, this should do

I really don't think installing this should be so difficult, maybe it's
just the newbie in me. :)

Thanks Gabe. It took only a second or two to install. Now on to
configuring. I'm running Centos by the way. Man, I don't know what I
would do without the plug. It's a great resource for us newbies. One
day maybe I'll be a linux stud or studette like a lot of you.
