Does it require xWindows to be installed?
I am looking for a command line solution to this same problem.

Currently I am sing a free version of htmldoc.
It is much better than html2ps

I don't know about getting the html out of the mime message, but once
you do, mozilla2ps[0] does a very good job of converting html to
postscript. It uses the XUL rendering engine (same as firefox).

It does require xulrunner[1] and a framebuffer (xvfb works well if you
are headless or otherwise do not have one).
