If you just want to free up storage space, come up with a reasonable 
market value for it, and donate it to an university or high school. You 
get a tax deduction that often exceeds what you might get from it 
otherwise.  Universities can use old equipment to manufacture test 
equipment for research projects, and high school use it for classroom 
examples or just to play with when there is nothing else to do.
