It's pretty much given that if you show to this contest writing PHP
code, you've already lost. ;)
Oh, I dunno about that. It looks like the samples on there require you
to use CLI applications, which PHP is quite capable of doing, though it
certainly breaks the mold.
Writing interactive PHP shell scripts isn't that hard, and it's quite
fun actually. I'd try them out if only for the proof of concept.
