That depends entirely on the type of radiation. If I went into detail

basically some kinds of radiation won't do anything to you and other
kinds will damage your cells and / or change the structure of your
atoms (in some cases causing them to decay).

I should clarify, though, that as far as I can tell the site doesn't
answer your specific question directly and I'd have to guess that the
risk of glowing is far greater when exposed to radioactive materials
than when exposed to pure radiation.
