I am all for posting wherever it makes people comfortable, and most of the people on here have very good reasons for where they post, but I think that saying one makes better netiquette than the other is a bit of a stretch.

Can you please enlighten me as to why one area of posting is proper to Miss Manners, and the other is not?

You see a good programmer would just write a one line Perl script that
would trim and bottom post prior to allowing the mail off the machine.
I'm a Perl programmer and I just use gmail - it cuts out all the crud for me
:-) No need to write a program here...

Jesse

I use gmail as well, and to remove the crud takes effort.

Sincerely,
Steve

p.s. Google default is top posting, I wonder if there is a bottom
posting option I can turn on somewhere, for better netiquette.
