That is pretty much exactly what I do. You set the timer for X amount of minutes in the future (usually 2 or 3 minutes before the recording to ensure it's up in time to start on time) and then put it to sleep. It wakes up and begins recording. The docs are now somewhat confusing, when I first set it up they were much more sane. Also, I think some SuSE user got on there and thought that all systems are SuSE so try to avoid the SuSE specific stuff if you don't have it: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/ACPI_Wakeup The downfall of this on a FE/BE combo is the above problem. You want to watch TV, you have to manually power on your system (power button or something similar). Hence the desire for waking from USB actually working. -Chad P.S.
