Linux/Web Services System Administrator Our client, located in the north end of the Salt Lake Valley, is looking for a Systems Administrator to manage global Web Services Infrastructure. The successful candidate will: Support physical or virtual Linux and Windows servers Provide integration and implementation services. Maintain 24/7 service availability. Manage and perform system updates. Plan and provision for growth. Monitoring and performance tuning. Manage global web system security. Manage internet related security threats, system activity and system security readiness. Implement counter measures to protect internal and external assets. Work closely with Network System Operations personnel to insure security integration with network security infrastructure. Monitor and maintain backup and disaster recovery services and policies. Validate recoverability. Automate and script system administration tasks. Maintain Send-mail services and security. Monitor Tomcat, Apache, IIS services. Cron Jobs, Networking, Web Statistics. Coordinate resource and integration requirements for 3rd party systems implementations. Facilitate internal systems and application deployments. Support and maintain SOA services infrastructure. Perform Web Administrator functions as a backup for that position. The core tenchologies and skills needed are: Linux, Windows, Tomcat, Apache, IIS/ASP, Cron Jobs, Networking, Web Statistics, BASH A BS Computer Sciences preferred but Will consider other college level experience and/or Technical Certification. 2+ years experience managing high availability web infrastructure. Proficiency with web services integration and web systems security. Proficiency with Linux and Windows environment administration. Proficiency with Windows and Linux based internet services. Proficiency with Apache/Tomcat and IIS/ASP. Windows Server Administration. Linux Server Administration. Web Security. BASH scripting. SOA related web services Provide 24/7 on call system support. Communicate orally and in writing.
