although many/most do support 98/SE.
You might try MAS Computers, if you have not already, for an old NIC.
You may also try DI. Last time I was in there (granted, I live in ID
now, but I think that hardly matters) there were heaps of old 10/100
3Com cards that work great with 98. I would recommend buying 2-3 in
case one is DOA.
