'Writing the screenplay' has VERY little to do with the final version that is produced. I'd love to get a copy of his original screenplay, and compare it to the version that was actually used in the movie. I've read all the Hitchhiker's Books, I've listened to all the radio plays, and I've seen the BBC miniseries. I understand that they're all different. And I LOVE each of those three versions. The writing in the movie was so shockingly different from the writing in any of the other three that I barely chuckled once or twice during the entire movie, and those were half disbelief. If you liked it... well, I'm glad you did. But I will never consider it to be on the same level as the other works. -- Matthew Walker Kydance Hosting & Consulting LAMP & MU* Specialist /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
