I installed the Fedora 10 beta on a new machine the last couple days. Everything seems to be working fine except I keep getting a little pause, lock, or freeze in the GUI every minute or two. I ran vmstat for a while and found something like this: procs -----------memory---------- ---swap-- -----io---- --system-- -----cpu------ r b swpd free buff cache si so bi bo in cs us sy id wa st 1 0 0 6586892 41132 734272 0 0 0 0 588 911 9 2 89 0 0 0 0 0 6586900 41132 734272 0 0 0 0 646 1339 9 2 89 0 0 0 0 0 6586892 41140 734268 0 0 0 280 627 969 9 2 88 0 0 0 0 0 6586892 41140 734272 0 0 0 0 710 1057 11 2 87 0 0 0 0 0 6586892 41140 734272 0 0 0 0 519 821 7 2 91 0 0 0 0 0 6586768 41140 734272 0 0 0 0 686 971 11 1 88 0 0 0 0 0 6586892 41140 734272 0 0 0 0 705 1421 11 2 87 0 0 1 0 0 6586668 41140 734272 0 0 0 0 1278 868 28 2 70 0 0

I noticed that every time I get a gui lock, the number of system in (interrupts) jumps from the usual mid-100s to the 2100s.

1) Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
2) Anyone know of a way to find out where extra interrups are being generated or if an interrupt handler is taking too long?

-Thanks
