Can you point me to a specific api?
Most of what I have found googling around are fee-based databases you
can purchase, but you have to load into a db somewhere and write an
engine to do the lookups yourself.

I don't know of a complete solution, however.... You could tie into
an API
for Geographical information based on IP address to get the lat/
long, and
then plot those on google maps...

groups of
IPs?
Thanks!
