Hey guys,
I'm trying to format my journal so I can print it out and have a hard
copy. I am trying to use LaTeX. I can't figure out how to set the
paper size to 5.5in by 8.5in, I used the following and it comes out
at 8.5in by 11in noting that the package geometry recieved an
overspecification in the h and v directions.

\title{2008}
\author{Joshua Lutes}
\usepackage[total={5.5in,8.5in},margin=0.5in,inner=0.625in,nofoot]{geometry}
\begin{document}
\tableofcontents
\frontmatter
This is a journal by Joshua F Lutes.
\mainmatter
2008
\chapter{May}
\section*{10 May 2008 Saturday}
...
\end{document}
Any ideas? The things I've found online haven't seemed terribly
facile. Thanks,
