I'm sure that there's somebody out there cheaper, but not by much.  I 
don't think that's worth the risk with a non-name.  Cheaper would be to 
get a backup specific service that did some basic redundancy, but only 
enough for a backup, not quite the scalability S3 goes to.  You could do 
this yourself, or find the service that already exists somewhere.  Maybe 
someone needs to see this as a biz-op and create something?  2 or 3 
locations, Raid5/6 on the arrays, some intelligent management of volumes 
and bandwidth, some security and reporting.  Done.

Colocation, bandwidth, and storage are way cheap.  Somebody has to have 
this already tailored for the specific backup market.
