You can probably find lots of stuff on EBC on the SLLUG and PLUG archives, but my experience was that they were a fairly typical PC hardware shop... until you had problems. If you took a "bad" video card in to exchange for a replacement, they would walk in the back with your bad card and come back in a few minutes with a "new" card which was really just your "bad" card. I can't tell you how many times I've heard this story- and others like it, where people confirmed their suspicions by placing a small sharpie mark somewhere on the hardware they were returning only the find the same sharpie mark on the "replacement." This is unethical, at best, and seems to be a fine example of poor customer service. I had my own issues with EBC when my company set up a reseller account with them. We worked directly with their controller to set up the account with our state tax ID number, contact information for principle officers, etc. and what- not so we could resell items bought from EBC at a discount and not pay sales tax on the wholesale purchases. Everything seemed in order until we we went to pick up an order and they wouldn't take our checks because the address on the check was a post office box. *sighs* We didn't buy anything through EBC again after that. -- Doran L.
