A client brought something to my attention today. http://support.cloudfoundry.com/entries/20067876-analysis-of-april-25-and-26-2011-downtime
April 25th, ok I can understand that, it sort of makes sense but the big question is this. WTF can you type to do what happened on April 26th? The only thing I can think of is this. vi ./endjob.sh #!/bin/bash for i in cat /etc/hosts do sudo ssh $i "rm -rf / && reboot now" done echo "Your work here is done, please collect your check on the way out the door." ctrl+q y ./endjob.sh Note: I realize this wouldn't run as is. Still on a more serious note, how can "the cloud" keep suffering from single points of failure like this? First amazons cloud, now vmware, it's getting a bit ridiculous. /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
