+1 Lua. We've embedded Lua into our Driver Architecture at Control4, and I now use Lua pretty much every day. It's a great little language for that kind of thing. Small, Fast, Easy. If you find yourself in need of a language to embed into a C/C++ app, you can't beat Lua.
