I'm up to my eyeballs in contract work in addition to my full-time requirements, otherwise I'm always game for filthy lucre. Look into NSIS for making your installer. It's ridiculous how easy Nullsoft made creating a Windows installer (after years of crap from InstallShield et. al.). http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page When making the Windows service, you'll do one of two things: 1) Create a service that launches the Node.js process and babysits it. 2) Create a service that *IS* the Node.js process. #2 is much harder than #1. See how Apache did #1 with Tomcat, or how it was done with the Rails Windows installer. Note that Windows Vista and newer don't allow you to spawn a Command-Prompt window from a service, so you'll have to do some extra things to prevent a console from popping-up (I haven't looked into how, but apparently it can be done). Good luck. -Bryan /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
