OK, this is a weird Ubuntuism or some such. I also had a problem running claws-mail 3.7.6-1ubuntu1 on my laptop over SSH. Claws-mail would start to display, and the display would lock up completely. I had to reboot the desktop computer to get out of it. The grub menu now allows you to revert to a prior Linux installation. I hit that, and booted to Linux 2.6.35-30-generic. The ecryptfs problem seems to have gone away. The claws-mail problem is present, but it looks like I can work around that with xephyr. So why would changing kernels bring back twofish encryption? -- Charles Curley /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign Looking for fine software \ / Respect for open standards and/or writing?
