Glassdoor is a problem because the only people who post there have an axe to grind. > > We've had this discussion before. What if you develop a scoring system for companies akin to "The Joel Test" http://www.joelonsoftware.com/articles/fog0000000043.html that generates some kind of scorecard of your opinions about a company. Then simply post anonymously on glassdoor with a comment that includes a little footer like PLUGSCORE: 152332 and only Pluggers have the key for decoding what that actually MEANS. Then the only thing PLUG is responsible for is that the website has a KEY (available to members) to decoding the score for example, but does NOT host or retain any data about people's opinions of those companies. 1. Are you a current employee (1), former employee (2) or interviewing candidate (3) 2. Overall impression of the company: Top-notch (5), Average/Meh (3), Dislike (1) Other questions could be about how you felt the interview process goes... if you felt the team is professional and you could work for them.... if they espouse open source programming principles, etc? or even some of the Joel Test questions, etc. /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
