First off, thanks everyone for the help.Secondly I may have not been super clear, but audio is all we cared about. This is the solution that ended up working:
- icecast2 (http://icecast.org/ ) on a server- butt (http://butt.sourceforge.net/ ) to stream from brother's laptop (post-hw mixers) to said server.
It was also suggested to keep an eye on the following html5 streamer being made by the xiph folks:
