I don't hack on Ubu very much sorry, I use Ubuntu Studio only, and use it for my music recording, otherwise I'm strictly Arch Linux with systemd and FreeBSD with it's "Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It" self. Systemd service files are easy to write and work with, I surmise it won't be long before Ubu joins the future.
