Hi all, I (and possibly a co-conspirator) will be leading a learning session on the Lua programming language tomorrow night at The Transistor. It's open to the public and should be a fun time for those who like programming and talking about programming languages. If you already know Lua, that's great, you can still come and have a blast coding and helping people learn it!
If you don't know Lua yet, it's a great time to learn it. It's a wonderful language that's been slowly taking over the world from behind the scenes as the embedded scripting language of choice for games (from Angry Birds to World of Warcraft and both free and commercial game-creation engines) and even professional software (Adobe Lightroom is something like 40% Lua) and embedded firmware (Canon cameras, Brazilian TV Ginga middleware, Control4 home automation devices). More information can be found at: http://thetransistor.com/2013/06/lua-public-learn-a-new-programming-language-night/ Hope to see some of you there! --Levi /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
