The tablet idea is a good one. If anyone knows how to set up a tablet in a
restricted mode (so all the user can do is fill out a web form), that would
be good to know.

While the "browser in their pocket" thing is a fair assumption for people
attending technical conferences/events, this organization is not technical
and the events they go to do not cater specifically to a technical crowd.
