I'll have to look more into eix. Haven't ever used it much. Years ago, there was a Qt app for portage management, but it was never very good. I haven't looked recently, since I honestly prefer commandline tools in general. I did just discover nagios-check_glsa2, which makes me very happy. No more having to manually monitor GLSAs for my servers. (I can't believe I didn't think to look for it sooner. Wasn't exactly hidden.) I also have nightly crons that send me a list of what needs updated, although I'm just doing those with portage, not eix. -- Matthew Walker HAM Call Sign: N7TOX Kydance Hosting & Consulting, Inc. - http://www.kydance.net/ PHP, Perl, and Web Development - Linux Server Administration /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
