I'll have to look more into eix. Haven't ever used it much. Years ago,
there was a Qt app for portage management, but it was never very good. I
haven't looked recently, since I honestly prefer commandline tools in
general.

I did just discover nagios-check_glsa2, which makes me very happy. No
more having to manually monitor GLSAs for my servers. (I can't believe I
didn't think to look for it sooner. Wasn't exactly hidden.)

I also have nightly crons that send me a list of what needs updated,
although I'm just doing those with portage, not eix.
