A friend of mine has expressed an interest in getting into the bitcoin mining scene. However, he wants to pick up a good solid ASIC to start doing the mining with and has asked me for a good site to look at various ASICs and to see how they compare to each other. The problem is, I don't know of a site like that. I'm sure one is out there, but I'm not getting anything in my searches. Plenty of mentions of ASICs and such, but no comparisons. He and I would be looking for a site that will give stats something like:
Box 1 from Company A $2000 125 MHashes/sec Box 2 from Company A $5000 300 MHashes/sec Box 3 from Company B $3000 150 MHashes/sec Box 4 from Company C $25,000 750 MHashes/sec Naturally we don't care if it's in that exact format, but it should have that information, along with ways to contact those companies in the event that he wants to purchase one of that company's items. I remember once seeing a site like that, but it was several months ago and I don't recall where it was. So I hope that someone here can help me out. All I need is one good URL that will give a listing of various ASICs, how fast they work (MHash rate), how much they cost, and how to get a hold of the company to order one.
