I've used it in two different houses and it has been just fine,
reliable, etc.  After a couple of years, I did have one device go out
and swapped in a new one and it went back to working.  I think they
work well in locations where the wifi isn't strong where you need a
connection and there isn't a wired jack nearby.  In older homes often
you can't easily move the router or wap because the home wiring is not
cat cable.
