There are many great options for WiFi routers. They do the job of router and access point.
I am wondering if there are some great options for separate wired routers and access points. This is for my home network, that really needs an upgrade. I currently have an old Apple Airport Extreme and a 10/100 switch. To upgrade the switch I am probably going to get a couple Netgear GS108-400NAS. The Airport does have AC support, but I am not getting more than 50mbps with wireless OR wired. I was looking at one of these to replace it: - Netgear Nighthawk (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F0DD0I6/) - TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BUSDVBQ) - ASUS (RT-AC68U) Wireless-AC1900 (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FB45SI4) Was also looking at Luma (https://getluma.com/) Wired routers for home are obviously not at popular because of the extra work involved. One search shows me this list: http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/tools/rankers/router/ranking/None/rev8/6 Any opinions on the Wired+AP setup vs standalone WiFi setup?
