Steve: I really don't have any compliants my Comcast + CC + Myth setup. I've been using the HDHomeRun PRIME/Comcast with MythTV since 2011. Before that, I used firewire from my rented set-top box. Four years ago, I tested for the copy-protection flag with firewire and the PRIME on all of my subscribed channels. I found most all of the channels have the copy-protection flag disabled. The exception was movie channels. Here is a spreadsheet with the results of my copy-protection tests from November 2011: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xJcqXpPxlsNhgbpwXq1a7xFwzK1gtJh913E6qfB-tUI/edit?usp=sharing I was surprised I was able to access more channels with the cable card than with firewire via set-top box. BTW, one thing I recommend to free up "tuner time" on your PRIME is to use a regular HDHomeRun for channels available over the air.
