Yep, tried a few re-installs. Is there anyway to figure out what is happening to socketwrapper and/or wmadec - to see if they are indeed being killed by something or just dying on their own?
I cannot see any pertinent differences between the laptop where it works versus my server box in terms of processes running or services enabled. So, really understanding what is happening to these processes seems like the next logical step.
