that was me :) I gave up holding out to patch it when Michael came out with his
screensaver.  This made it less of a priority to add to core server code.  The
alarm code simply hijacks the core server 'now playing' mode lines.  The patch
is still probably attached to the old bug report.  The trick is to find it.

Showing the time is on my list.  I need to make the plugin code easier to deal
with first.  I want to figure out a way that allows multiple alarms just by
adding copies of the plugin.  I have to properly understand objects first.
