Do you doubt the "current" always being played or the empty list? The
latter is true because I deleted the "Now playing..." list to see whether
the umlaut problem had been fixed (not your problem).

do you have it set to play (current)? or are you saying that (current) works, but others dont'?

Neither, nor. I selected an in-db stored playlist (which does not exist on the disk). It didn't play, but what I thought was "current". I tried to select that playlist several times, but it always played the same first song of the album I played last night.

Later I did the test with the log I sent. This is on another machine where I had some playlists stored on disk in the playlist folder. In that case the plugin did not try to play what's stored in the db as "Now playing...", but what was stored on disk (using an earlier slimserver release).

i've got one set to play a playlist on weekends, and random
on weekdays, so I can't say for sure about radio or (current). both were user requests.

I always use that radio station (stored in a playlist). Weekdays only.

well, I think it should be falling back on current if the selected playing is failing...

...which is an excellent feature, thanks! I never noticed this.

This will have to wait for the weekend, I'm afraid.

No problem! My sister and her three children spend the week-end with us - no need for an alarm clock :-).
