The other thing of note is that wma via mplayer works fine.
You don't say which previous version you have been running. If it is
several vesions ago, mplayer.sh has changed slightly. Is is creating
pid files as /tmp/.alienbbc-app.$$.pid where $$ is a pid. [This is
newer in more recent versions of Alien and requires mplayer.sh to be
able to write to /tmp]
It is able to create these temp files.
