Can anyone give me tips on how to install MPlayer on a linkstation or other similar embedded device, or are there other technologies I should be using that will work ?
No, I can't. Do you know of anybody who has succeeded in doing this? I doubt the CPU will be powerful enough - would be interesting to know.
I once tested AlienBBC on a Pentium/200 to get an idea. Impossible to have a reliable stream on that machine. Load was constantly at 100%.
