Yes, I was unable to "see" scripts in either the web config page or on
the SB unless I created the corresponding sub-dir. I tried scripts
with .bat, .cmd and .exe extensions. They all remained invisible.
Sub-dirs, however, are "visible" and a .cmd script with the same base
name as the sub-dir, residing in the parent of the sub-dir, is
executable by the plug-in. I'm running slimserver via ActiveState perl
5.8.7 on WinXP SP2. I get the same behavior with SlimServer 6.1.x and
with 6.2.x.
well, I'm not really sure how that can be happening really. The code
simply looks in the scripts dir, and loads the list of files found
there. It only ignores cvs and html files. There is no code to
navigate deeper, and no reason I can see for a file in the scripts dir
to be invisible. I do often feel that windows does annoying automatic
things, but navigating directory trees is a new one :)
I'll try some tests today and see if I can find anything. At the very
least, I'll drop in some debugging that might help you see more of what
is going on.
