Sorry, I should have thought to say that. No, when playing direct in mplayer, both of these:
mplayer.exe -cache 128 "rtsp://rmlivev8bb.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/derby/live.ra" mplayer.exe -cache 128 "rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/bbc7/live/bbc7_dsat_g2.ra" Work absolutely fine. It's when I try and use them through Squeezebox that the trouble starts. BBC7 is fine. Derby plays a burst of high pitched sound, then a gap, then another burst, etc. If it is a recognisable "tune", it is clear that nothing is missing - the complete tune is discernable, it is just too fast with gaps to compensate. I can see a subtle difference in the last part of the URLs - is that perhaps a clue? Horrible!!
