Hi,

I have non-proxied SSH tunneling working fine for SoftSqueeze, but have
run into a dead-end trying to get a friend up and running from inside
his company firewall.

His PC does not have direct access to the internet (so direct ssh
connection is out), but he does have browser access to the web via the
corp proxy server.

I guessed that in this case I needed to configure his SoftSqueeze SSH
Proxy settings, which I have done as follows:

SSH Proxy: HTTP
SSH Proxy Host: <corp web proxy host>
SSH Proxy Port: ? (left blank)

However even with these settings, he is not reaching my ssh server. No
connection is making it out through the proxy.

Anything else I can try? To try and troubleshoot, could anyone please
explain the sequence of connections (and port numbers) that is supposed
to happen in a proxied ssh configuration? Ie:

SoftSqueeze -> PROXY SERVER -> SSH SERVER

How do you route an SSH connection through a web proxy anyway? Is it in
the form of an HTTP request?

As always, TIA!

Nico
