Jamin, Are you using Mac? There's another thread at http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=16905&page=1&pp=10 where somebody's having apparantly the same problem on OSX. The solution seems to be to pop the Plugin and support directory into SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/server/Plugins/, instead of ~/username/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins. I don't have access to a Mac so I can't test this out, but it might get you working.
