I am having some trouble with AlienBBC with both an SB1 and SoftSqueeze.
(This is with Slimserver 6.2b1 - 4418 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252 using
MySQL and AlienBBC 0.99 on Win XP Pro with MPlayer 1.0pre7-3.4.2)

Running mplayer standalone works fine. Running slimserver with
RTSP-FLAC and RTSP-MP3 disabled and no rate limiting (i.e. streaming
WAV) means AlienBBC works fine.

However, as soon as I enable FLAC or MP3 conversion it doesn't work. I
have run the server with --d_plugins, d_source, d_remotestream and with
#DEBUGPIPE# and the 'quiet' options removed. In both FLAC and MP3
cases there appears to be a problem writing the converted audio.

Below are what look to be the relevant extracts from the logs. Soon
after these errors, the processes socketwrapper, mplayer and lame/flac
disappear.

I have tried disabling both AV and firewall software but this appears
to make no difference.

Any suggestions ? I have no idea about perl, but could easily mess
around (at the weekend) with the socketwrapper source and recompile
with extra diagnostics if anyone has any ideas.

Cheers

Ian
