I have one linux box running SlimCD on harddisk (remember?). To upgrade to 6.2 , should I just rename the old 6.1 directory , and put there the 6.2?
That's (about) what I did. Moved /opt/slimserver to /tmp, copied the new folder from the CD to /opt/slimserver, copied the old slimserver.pref to the new folder and restarted slimserver. I copied the /opt/slimserver from the new CD as it already contains the latest third party plugins (like AlienBBC).
Anything else I should have in mind (except the
Do a backup first :-).
script for nightlies, etc).
You should consider the latest script. The old would still work, but it downloads the now rather unstable 6.5 trunk.
Hmm... though I don't replacing the old image with the new one for HD installations (I didn't neither), it might be worth downloading the image for simplicity.
